DISCOVERY & HISTORY

Molybdenite was discovered on the property in 1965 by Newmont Mining Corp., which completed mapping, sampling and trenching between 1965 and 1967 before drilling 26 holes totalling 8,100 metres.

Starcore International Mines acquired the property through its purchase of Creston Moly in 2015, and Korestar acquired Ajax from Starcore in 2025.

GEOLOGICAL DESCRIPTION

Ajax occurs along the western margin of the Stikinia Terrane of the North American Cordillera, intruded by four closely spaced stocks of quartz monzonite porphyry. Molybdenite is typically associated with quartz in pyrrhotite-bearing veinlets; areas of elevated grades (>0.060% Mo) are characterized by high fracture density where quartz vein stockwork is well developed.

EXPLORATION UPDATE

In 2023, mineralization was found exposed in old pits, trenches and outcroppings about 1.7 km southwest of the known porphyry molybdenum system. Surface exploration is underway, confirming precious and base-metal upside, alongside resampling and testing of Ajax drill core. Next phase: expanded fieldwork to define the extent of porphyry, transitional and vein-hosted mineralization, with an airborne MagnetoTelluric (MT) survey planned to identify priority drill targets.
